Google WiFi Units Drop to £99 Each

By Holly Brockwell on at

Google has dropped the price of Google WiFi mesh units from £129 to £99 each, possibly permanently if the US drop to $99 is anything to go by.

The two- and three-packs are now also cheaper, with a pack of two costing £189 rather than £229 and a pack of three costing £279 instead of £329.

The new sub-£100 price for a single unit makes it that much more attractive to boost signal in a weak spot in your home – there's definitely some kind of mental barrier about spending more than £100 on things that aren't strictly necessary.

Google WiFi has been out over two years now, so it's not surprising that prices are coming down, especially now that lots of other mesh products are available in the UK.

It could also mean Google has a new version of WiFi planned – it usually has a hardware event in October, so we'll keep an eye out for shiny new things then.

In the meantime, you can grab the cheaper Google WiFi units from the Google Store, Amazon, Argos, Currys, John Lewis, and anywhere else this kind of thing is sold.
