Good Omens Secret Bookshop Experience Opens Alongside its Debut on Amazon Prime

In case you somehow hadn't heard, the 1990 novel Good Omens, penned by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, has been adapted into a TV show that's coming to Amazon Prime at the end of the month. The show stars David Tennant as the demon Crowley, and Michael Sheen as the angel Aziraphale, and to celebrate the six part series that drops on May 31, an immersive secret bookshop experience will open in London over the first weekend in June.

The book's A.Z. Fell and Co bookshop is being brought to life in a Victorian town house located on Greek Street in Soho. You'll recognise it by the 1934 Bentley Derby Coupe from the show that will be parked outside.

The "five-floor immersive bookshop" will offer free entry, and it'll include an "escape room, immersive performance, interactive sets, prop exhibition, hidden treasures and surprises.

"Modelled on the character Aziraphale’s (Sheen) run-down bookshop hideout, the unassuming facade might well be overlooked by those not in the know. However on entry it will quickly become clear that this is no ordinary bookshop.

"Fans will be given the chance to explore immersive set replicas, take on an escape room challenge starting in a recreation of hell, explore a rich array of props and costumes from the show and discover original artwork and on-set drawings from acclaimed portrait artist Lorna May Wadsworth."

While the event is free, and allows access to the "exhibition elements" you'll need a ticket if you want to give the 30 minute escape room experience a whirl. You can book yours here.

Neil Gaiman has talked about the responsibility he felt to get a Good Omens adaptation off the ground,  what it was like to turn the book into a TV show, and how he fought to keep one of Terry Pratchett's creations from being cut out.

Good Omens will be available on Amazon Prime on May 31, and you can watch a trailer for the show right here.
