Pornhub's Traffic Dropped During Eurovision's Final but You Fickle Wankers Came Back Hard Afterwards

The depraved desires and freaky fetishes we indulge in during the course of our fleeting visits to Pornhub seem to be affected by what's going on in the cultural zeitgeist. Take the spike in Star Wars searches on the site on May 4th, for example. Or all the thirsty Avengers fans that flooded the site in the lead up to Endgame's release.

Pornhub's latest insights centre around traffic during the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, and after winning the competition, people in the Netherlands were in the mood for a cheeky wank, with a rise of 15 per cent over the average once the show finished. The UK came last in the competition, and while residents took a break from porn for the first hour of the final, they soon returned to Pornhub's bosom, with traffic climaxing at 4 per cent above the usual time-of-day average.

Iceland saw the largest drop in traffic overall, with a 23.7 per cent drop during the show, while the Irish kept a hand in, as it were, with a drop of just 2.9 per cent compared to regular traffic levels, making Ireland the biggest wanker, along with Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the UK.

Pornhub also has stats for other big TV events, like the Superbowl or the Italian Sanremo music festival, and while everyone buggers off for the duration of these shows, they always come back with gusto afterwards, with the site seeing a peak in use compared to its normal time-of-day traffic averages. It looks like Pornhub guilt is the new Catholic guilt.
