Samsung's foldable phone may be going to shit, but it knows you still gotta eat. The South Korean company has teamed up with four UK restaurant chains to bring Samsung owners exclusive dishes to keep them distracted until it gets back to the business of satiating your appetite for sleek and slinky new tech products, rather than juicy burgers and piping hot pizzas.
Keep a lookout for your closest Bill's, The Breakfast Club, Patty & Bun, and Pizza Pilgrims and pop in with your phone - as if leaving the house without it was ever an option. You can find your nearest participating restaurant on the official site for the promotion. Putting my postcode in, I've just discovered that I'm surrounded by Bill's, with one restaurant in my town, and another two on either side in Gloucester and Worcester. So your options are most likely going to somewhat limited.
"All you need to do is pop in to your favourite restaurant (or all of them if you prefer), find a Secret Menu, and look for an AR code," reads the site. "Then it’s just a case of unlocking the exclusive dishes using a Samsung phone."
In less palatable news, Samsung has delayed the launch of its Galaxy Fold in its rush to be the first manufacturer to get a foldable phone onto the market. After identifying the two biggest issues as the hinge gap and the protective layer on the screen that reviewers were peeling off with gay abandon, Samsung has detailed the changes it plans to make to fix them.
The amended design will see the protective layer tucked into the device, where it belongs. The other main tweak is to reduce the hinge gap size to stop crap getting in there. There's still no news on an expected release date.
