Person-matching swipe-simulator Tinder has launched a mode specifically for festivals.
The new mode arrived on the app May 1st, and is pegged as a way to find people who are attending the same festival as you so you can start matching and chatting even before the festival begins. In the UK, Festival Mode has begun rolling out on Tinder already, kicking off with London-based music festival, All Points East.
Here's how it works:
On Tinder you have to search for the Festival Mode card, Match with it and your profile will display your chosen festival badge to let others know where you will be and when.
From there you can check the festival badge on your profile to take a look at like-minded individuals who are also attending the event before matching and/or chatting with them.
Festival Mode is rolling out across Tinder right now, starting with the festivals below:
Event-specific badges become available roughly three weeks prior to the start of each event, which gives you plenty of time to find other event-goers to match with.
The app has also promised on-the-ground benefits to Festival Mode users, including: VIP upgrades, free merch, photo ops and more, with more detailed information to come over the next few weeks.
