The Netflix series is having one last hurrah in 2020 with an interactive episode that will let fans dictate the twists and turns of the plot for Kimmy and co.
"We're thrilled to announce that we’re about to start production on an all-new Interactive Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt special, set to debut on Netflix in 2020," said show creator, Tina Fey in a press release via TechRadar.
"Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of our characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes. I think it’s a great fit for our show and will be a great way to officially complete the series.”
The show ran for four seasons and wrapped up last year. The new format for the special episode will follow in the footsteps for Black Mirror's Bandersnatch.
Having already watched a few episodes, I can confirm that putting Grylls in the most dangerous scenario possible is great fun, although you'll find yourself rolling your eyes at his apparent incompetence as he loses essential tools to punish you for putting him through hell, which will have a knock-on effect further into the episode.
Totally worth it.
