Samsung's wireless DeX that we first heard about last year could be launching alongside the Galaxy Note 10 as the company applies for a patent for the DeX Live name.
DeX allows Samsung handset owners to use a dock that essentially turns its phones into a desktop. The pricey little DeX docks needed for the extended functionality let you plug in a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, as well as offering various USB-C, USB 2.0, HDMI, and ethernet ports.
Samsung has filed for a patent with the European Union Intellectual Property Office for the name DeX Live, which seems to be the name for the new wireless experience.
The prospect of wireless connectivity might do away with having to fork out for a DeX station and faff about with cables.
It's expected that the Galaxy Note 10 will be revealed next month, with sources close to the company spilling the beans on a reported August 7 date for the Unpacked event.
With the launch of the newest Note smartphone so close, now's the best time to get a deal on the Galaxy Note 9, which has £150 slashed off the price at Amazon, so check that out if you're looking to save some cash. [T3]
