Leak Claims Amazon Prime Day Will Happen on 15th July

By Tom Pritchard on at

If you've paid attention to Amazon the past few years you'll know that it's never content with sticking to the regular sales. Black Friday, Easter, Boxing Day, and all those other 'discount' periods are great, but clearly not as great as having its own special day of deals. Which is why Prime Day exists, and according to a new leak it's set to kick off on Monday 15th July this year.

We know this thanks to an email an Amazon PR sent to the Real Homes website, though the company hasn't officially confirmed the date and timings of the sale. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, though, because last year's Prime Day kicked off on Monday 16th. You may also remember that last year's Prime Day was 36 hours long, and it's probably safe to assume that it'll be at least that long this year too. So less Prime 'Day' and more Prime Time.

Of course Prime Day deals are exclusive to Amazon Prime members, so this news gives you plenty of time to seek out a way to get Prime for yourself. If you're lucky you may be able to get a free or discounted trial to last you through the discounted period. You know because all the Echo devices don't discount themselves, and you have to putĀ some effort in.

Plus if you can't be bothered delving through all the deals yourself, we'll be on the hunt for the best tech and Giz-specific deals for you to enjoy. So make sure to check back nearer the time and see what we found. [Real Homes via Pocket Lint]
