Minions are one of those weird things that had a strange impact on the world. They debited in a kids' movie several years ago, and somehow ended up being so popular they stuck around - despite the fact everyone seems to hate them. But I suppose there's something to be said for becoming the face of Facebook 'memes' made by middle/old age people who don't know actually know what memes are.
Those people will be ecstatic to hear that Lego has announced it will be releasing Minion-themed Lego next year, while the rest of us are hoping for some sort of catastrophe that would be much more preferable.

Apparently they're making a sequel to Minions, and the Lego sets are going to tie into it. I didn't know that, but I groaned when I found out. Thankfully I came out slightly better than my brother who announced I'd given him "severe heartburn" by telling him this very news. Did that happen to anyone else? Well I have to say it's not my problem.
There isn't much news to share about this right now, but no doubt more will be arriving in the coming months. At least I don't have to think very hard about what to buy my Dad for his birthday next year.
