Successful Footballers Handed £3.5k Gold-Plated iPhones

By Gary Cutlack on at

The winning footballers of Liverpool, who we have been led to believe emerged victorious from one sporting campaign this season by defeating their rivals with numerous exciting goals, have been handed another form of celebratory trophy item to wave about as proof they're best – a gold-plated iPhone X.

28 of the things were paid for by Liverpool to cover the entire first team and its loveable administrator Jurgen Klopp, with maker iDesign Gold claiming they'd have a retail value of around £3,500, had they not been ruined slightly by having names like WIJNALDUM and STURRIDGE emblazoned upon their rears.

iDesign Gold has made a thing for itself out of making gold iPhones for rich sports stars, as it's curating photos of footballers showy and secure enough to be photographed using previously manufactured bespoke gold models. [Sport Bible]
