Amazon Prime Just Got a £20 Discount, Just in Time for Prime Day

By Tom Pritchard on at

Amazon's Prime Day sales kick off next Monday, but one of the key caveats is that you have to be signed up for Amazon's Prime membership before you can take advantage of any of the deals. If you don't have Prime, now is probably the time to sign up, because Amazon just discounted a whole year of membership.

Instead of £79 a year, you can get Prime for £59 for the next 12 months. All you have to do is sign up between now and midnight on 16th of July, and you can enjoy all the perks on offer with a 25% discount. That means free next day delivery, access to Prime Video, Kindle Unlimited, and all the rest.

Of course the auto-renewal does come into effect, and if you don't cancel you'll be charged the full £79 when the subscription renews this time next year. Of course we may get to enjoy another Prime Day discount then, but Amazon is probably betting on you just letting things carry on without your intervention. So make sure to cancel early, lest you get burned in a year's time.
