EE has partnered with Niantic to bring its customers exclusive perks in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, and - more importantly - inclusive data to play the game up until the end of September.
That means you can play it as much as you like without worrying about it eating into your data allowance. 'But what about the exclusive treats?,' I hear you ask. You'll find EE stores appearing in the game as sponsored Inns and Fortresses, offering energy and XP boosts, as well as special assignments.
In the real-world, you'll find officially licensed Harry Potter PopSockets for half off in-store, and if you take out a Smart Plan, you'll get up to £50 worth of in-game rewards.
"We’re the UK’s best network for gaming – so we’re the natural partner for Niantic on Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, allowing fans to get the very most from the exciting new gaming experience on the go," said the ever-modest Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s consumer division.
"With data on us and EE Inns and Fortresses to visit – EE customers can don their wizarding robes and lose themselves in the latest iteration of Harry Potter’s magical world.”
On the topic of gaming, EE has also announced its new Gamer’s Data Pass priced at £7.99 a month to cover the data you use on a selection of games and Twitch streams.
