Virgin Media customers will be pleased to hear that the partnership with Sky is being extended, with the added bonus of UHD/4K programming.
If you're a Virgin Media customer, you've already been (presumably) enjoying access to a plethora of Sky channels including Sky Cinema and Sky Sports, and thanks to the new multiyear partnership between the two companies, you can carry on doing so, but with more boxsets being made available, as well as the new UHD and 4K programming.
"This expanded partnership with Sky really shows that, despite vigorous competition between us, we can join together to put viewers first. Our customers can keep enjoying a vast collection of TV shows, films and live sport but now with greater flexibility and enhanced viewing quality," said Lutz Schüler, CEO of Virgin Media.
"With our unrivalled ultrafast broadband paired with unlimited mobile connectivity and a line-up of fantastic programming, we give our customers everything they need to experience incredible entertainment in a way that suits them.”
Well, aren't they lucky. The UHD programming isn't coming to Virgin Media until next year, but when it does roll out, it'll include all of Sky’s Entertainment channels, like Sky One, and Sky Witness, as well as NBCU channels with E! to launch in HD.
