The Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Will be Arriving in Lego Form Next Week

By Tom Pritchard on at

Have you ever looked at all the fancy real-life cars Lego's made and wished there was something more suitable for the two-wheel lovers out there? Well, there's some good news if any of you are out there, because Lego has announced that the next Creator Expert set will be a recreation of Harley-Davidson's Fat Boy motorbike.

I don't know a right lot about motorbikes, so I'll keep this brief - lest I show my ignorance of this and other two-wheeled motor vehicles out there. The Lego Fat Boy is made up of 1,023 pieces (or just short of a kilobrick, if you will), and goes on general sale on 1st August. Anyone with a Lego VIP card can get their hands on one next week, however, as early access opens up on 17th July.

This is the first time Lego has made a full-scale Harley-Davidson, and so there are some special new pieces to come with it. That includes a new rear-rim with a 'super-wide' tyre, plus two dark red 2x4 tiles sporting the Fat Boy logo.

Special features include eight moving pistons, duel exhaust pipes, handlebar steering, moveable gear shift and brake pedals, plus a kickstand. If the kickstand isn't for you the bike does have a dedicated display stand for you to use instead.

The set is 20cm high, 18cm wide, and 33cm long, and will cost you £85.
