If you're a Virgin Media TV customer you can now watch Amazon Prime Video on your set top box - as long as you have an existing account, obviously.
The Prime Video app has been added to all Virgin TV V6 boxes in an update, and also includes Amazon Prime's range of UHD films and series. Amazon Prime now joins Sky's slew of TV content and and the BT Sport app on the set top box.
“Giving our customers the telly they love in one place is at the heart of what we do. This is why, from today, Prime members or those subscribing directly to Prime Video with a V6 box will have seamless access to a huge array of blockbuster entertainment – from Amazon Originals like Good Omens and The Grand Tour to thousands of TV series and movies," said David Bouchier, Virgin Media's chief digital entertainment officer.
“Virgin TV brings the best programming together so our customers can enjoy top-class entertainment and sport when and how they want. Alongside our leading ultrafast broadband, it’s the best way to watch the best TV.”
If you're a sports fan and Virgin TV customer, you'll be even more pleases about all of this because Prime is showing a bunch of football that's exclusive to the platform this December. There are 20 matches in all "including the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton and Manchester United vs Tottenham" which I can only assume is a medium-to-big deal.
So now you can watch all of your Premier and Champions League telly all in one place.
