An enthused member of the company that Nokia works with on its smartphone cameras was so excited about the Nokia 7.2 press event that he tweeted out pics he reeeeally shouldn't have.
Zeiss Group's Joachim Kuss tweeted out a photo of the Nokia 7.2's triple rear camera and fingerprint scanner, before deleting it, because it was quite clearly a goof.
"We showed the new #Nokia 7.2 to some media and tech reporters @Zeiss_Group yesterday - thanks @HMDGlobal for demonstrating it before launch in Sept. Still a bit overwhelmed what today's mobile and videography is about". So overwhelmed that you started tweeting out photos of a smartphone from a press event that no one else knows anything about, by the looks of things.
The picture confirms the circular rear camera module that case renders earlier this week seemed to indicate.
The raised housing features three lenses and an LED with a fingerprint scanner just below it. It's likely that the three sensors will be a main camera, a wide-angle lens, and a depth sensor.
Nokia has yet to make any official announcements confirming the phones specs but we'll probable find out more at IFA next month. [Pocket-Lint]
