IFA 2019 is fast approaching, which means it's time for everyone to show off their coolest shit, and Sharp isn't shirking from the challenge, boasting that it'll be showcasing the world's largest 8K LCD TV.

The Berlin trade show is one of the few events of the year where everyone goes balls-to-the-wall crazy, showing off concepts and prototypes that may never even see the light of day. In this case, Sharp is planning to unveil a 120-inch 8K LCD TV with 5G support.

Apparently, one possible use for the panel is utilising it for remote restoration of art pieces.

The title of world' largest 8K telly goes to Samsung with The Wall - a 292-inch MicroLED TV. We got a peek at the company's 219-inch version earlier this year at CES 2019.

Sharp hasn't released any further details, but with IFA kicking off next Wednesday, we'll get a gander at it for ourselves soon enough. [Engadget]
