Sky is launching a new Ultrafast broadband that offers speeds up to 12 times faster than its standard broadband, which sounds like garbage by comparison now.
The service provider is offering two options: Ultrafast 1 with an average download speed of 145Mbps for £39 per month, and Ultrafast 2 with an average download speed of 285Mbps for £49 a month.
To put that into perspective for you, Sky is very keen on you knowing that this translates to being able to download an HD movie in its entirety in four minutes.
"Fast and reliable broadband is an essential part of the family household today, and it’s only going to get more important in future," said Sky's director of broadband, Kathryn Imrie.
“We want our customers to be able to do even more online, on more devices, without seeing their connection lag or drop. As a Sky Broadband Ultrafast customer, you will be able to seamlessly watch an HD movie, while your partner surfs the web and your kids are gaming in their bedroom.”
Sky is still in the midst of its Ultrafast broadband rollout, which will take course over this and next year, but you can register your interest on its website.
