Xiaomi has announced the Redmi 7A - a budget smartphone that doesn't scrimp on features.
The entry-level phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 439 and houses a 4,000mAh battery for up to two days battery life, and comes with a 10W charger in the box.
With a 5.45" HD+ full screen display, a 12MP AI rear camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera that supports AI face unlocking, the Redmi 7A ticks all of the boxes when it comes to essential smartphone features - even if they might not be as snazzy as those that cost 10 times as much.
A brief rundown of the highlights of the specs include:
- Extra large text sizes
- Headset-free FM radio
- All-round splash protection
- High volume receiver
- 2+1 card slot design
- Low blue light display certified by TÜV Rheinland®
"We’re very excited to expand Xiaomi’s offering in the UK with the launch of the Redmi 7A," said Xiaomi's head of western Europe, Owen Ou. "With a fantastic combination of impressive battery life, powerful performance and camera quality along with convenient features such as an inbuilt FM radio antenna, the Redmi 7A is an unparalleled choice at an entry-level price."
With prices starting from just £99, which is insanely cheap for what's being offered, you can pick up the Redmi 7A in three variants; Matte Black 2GB/32GB, and Matte Black or Matte Blue in 2GB/16GB and 2GB/32GB.
