Sphero Makes Its App-Enabled Balls Even More Fun With Mini Soccer

By Shabana Arif on at

If you like robots and football the new Mini Soccer ball from Sphero will be right up your street.

The company recently bought out littleBits to become the one of the largest makers of educational toys and already has little programmable spheres in its product lineup but this new one incorporates everyone's favourite pastime into it.

The app-enabled ball looks like a football and comes with eight cones so that your kids (or you) can have it roll around and complete various challenges using its programming.

It has colour-changing LEDs, a gyroscope, accelerometer, and Bluetooth with up to 10 metres range. The rechargeable battery will get you 45 minutes playtime.

You can use Kick Drive to send your ball flying, beginner-friendly Block Drive that'll let you navigate obstacles and switch up colours, and you can even use Mini Soccer as a controller to play games on the app.

You can pick it up for £49.99 from Apple, John Lewis, Amazon and Argos.
