EE customers waiting for 5G to hit their vicinity are in luck with the network's coverage expanding over the next few weeks. If you're not in the list of locations, then we're not talking about you.
EE's 5G service went live back in May throughout Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, and London. The additional locations that have just gone live include London's Waterloo, Liverpool Street Station and Charing Cross stations, as well as Highbury & Islington, New Cross Gate, and Shoreditch High Street Overground stations. Birmingham, Cardiff, and Manchester will be getting coverage in Brindley Place, St David's shopping centre, and Albert Square, respectively.
In terms of new cities, Bristol, Leicester and Coventry will get their 5G roll-outs starting next week, with Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull, Sheffield and Nottingham to follow before the end of the year.
The 5G coverage in the West Midlands, Greater Manchester, and London is set to expand with Solihull, Dudley, Sutton Coldfield, West Bromwich, and Lichfield added in the West Midlands; Salford, Oldham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Rochdale, and Milnrow in Greater Manchester; and Kingston-upon-Thames, Grays, Romford, Chatham and Gillingham in London.
If you're looking into EE's 5G options, the good news is that the company recently got on board the unlimited data plan train and is offering a superfast, same day delivery service for handsets in select locations across the country. [Pocket-lint]
