How to Skive Off Work and Watch Google's Pixel 4 Launch Event

By Tom Pritchard on at

Today is the day that Google launches the Pixel 4, and probably a bunch of other stuff too, as part of its 2019 'Made by Google' event. Obviously there's a big event that a bunch of important people (and journalists) have been invited to, but most people have to sit at home/work and find out all that new information some other way. Fortunately there is a way for you to tune in without getting out of your chair.

Thankfully, as is the way, Google is livestreaming the whole event from 3pm this afternoon. And because Google owns YouTube there are no extra random livestreams that require special devices or browsers for you to access. All you need to do is head over to the live page and watch everything unfold from wherever you are and whatever device you have to hand. Chrome's Picture in Picture mode also means you can do other stuff while it's on in the background.

That's the embedded version if you want to watch it from this page, but if you'd rather go straight to Google you can get there with this link. Of course we'll have all the biggest news from the day right here, so if you don't want to watch the stream you can read about it later.
