If there's one thing I love, it's seasonal coffees, and Starbucks has got a corker on the way with its demonic-looking Phantom frappucino.
The frosty black and green beverage positively screams Halloween, and smacks of a fruity, tropical blend that leaves it bereft of milk, and as a consequence, vegan-friendly.
The frappe is comprised of coconut milk, mango, and pineapple essence, and topped off with a green 'slime' made of spirulina extract, charcoal powder, and lime and lemon juice. To make it look extra oozy, you can have a concoction of coconut cream and charcoal powder added to the top.
Starbucks also rolled out its cold brew version of the classic PSL this autumn. It's sweetened with "vanilla syrup, topped with a pumpkin cream cold foam and a dusting of pumpkin spice topping," but having tried it myself at last, I can tell you that it tastes like someone dropped a blob of toothpaste in your cold brew, after making sure it tasted nothing like pumpkins before doing so.
The Phantom frappucino will hit the menu on October 26, starting at £2.70 and will be available for just six days. [Metro]
