EE boss, Marc Allera, confirms that EE will be joining O2 and Vodafone in the London Underground 4G trial.
He tweeted the news today, saying EE would "formally joining TfL's 4G on the Underground trial, connecting passengers between Westminster and Canning Town."
Plans were made to bring 4G connectivity to the underground in 2017, with EE, Vodafone, O2, and Three involved in the design of the trial. Vodafone has since signed up for the trail, with O2 following suit just last week. The trial is set to go live in March 2020 - something Allera also reconfirmed - with TfL promising 4G connectivity for the entire London Underground by the mid 2020s. [TechRadar]
