The week is off to a terrible start as internet famous cat, Lil Bub, has passed away.
Lil Bub's death follows that of Grumpy Cat, earlier this year and has left her family and fans devastated with the unexpected circumstances around her passing. According to her owners on Intagram, who say they've kept the topic of Bub's health an open one, Bub "was battling a persistent and aggressive bone infection," but they still weren't "expecting her to pass so soon or so abruptly without warning."
Lil Bub was the runt of a feral litter in 2011 and rose to stardom in part because of her plethora of genetic anomalies, including an extreme case of dwarfism. Basically, it's what made her look like a "perma-kitten".
Her life may have been short, but Bub's career overshadows most of us, with a published book under her belt, as well as featuring in a film, hosting a a talk show, and has helping to raise over $500,000 for animals in need.
We salute you Bub, and hope they have catnip in heaven.
