Disney Plus is still not here and I'm sure you've been patiently waiting to watch the platform's exclusive shows and not pirating anything. But when it does finally drop, it'll have a convenient native TV app.
Well, on Philips Android TVs anyway. Rather than pissing about with a Firestick, you can access the Disney Plus app via your smart TV - and that goes for all Philips Android tellies. Personally, I watch everything on my PS4, but for those of you who prefer your smart TV hub, this'll be fantastic news. Or just okay news, depending on what it takes to get you excited these days. If native apps on your telly floats your boat, then so be it.
The streaming service hasn't hit the UK yet, and we were initially given a March 31 launch date, despite it going live in the US, Canada, Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand in November last year. Earlier this week, Disney announced that actually, we wouldn't have to wait that long after all, and brought the date forward by one whole week. Wow.
So now you'll be able to start watching The Mandalorian, which you definitely haven't seen already, on March 24. Alongside the updated launch date, the price for the service was also revealed, coming in at £6 a month, or £60 for the whole year – including the free month's trial. While US customers had pre-order incentives like special offers, no such deals are appearing on these shores yet, but there's still plenty of time for them to be announced. [TechRadar]
