The Salted Caramel Twix has Landed in the UK

By Holly Brockwell on at

There are a lot of very happy Twix fans in the UK today, because the much-requested Salted Caramel Twix is finally here.

It had already launched in other parts of Europe, and we already had salted caramel editions of M&Ms and Kit Kat Chunky on these shores, so like Killing Eve, it was only a matter of time until it finally appeared in the UK.

Of course, your favourite two-part chocolate bar has caramel in it already – it's just been swapped for a saltier blend to make an altogether fancier Twix.

So far, it seems the Salted Caramel Twix only comes in Xtra size, but we won't complain about a bigger chocolate bar. In other territories, Salted Caramel Twixes come in snack sizes and multipacks too, so if the flavour does well here, hopefully we'll get those too.

In the meantime, the Salted Caramel Twix Xtra is yours from the Co-Op for the princely sum of one pound. That's fifty pence per stick, fact fans.

Alternatively, you could buy a regular Twix for sixty pence and put some salt on it. We're not convinced it'd be all that different, honestly – it seems like a bit of a Coco Pops/Choco Krispies situation, but do let us know in the comments if you've tried the Salted Caramel version and found it substantially different from the main.

If that's put you in the mood for strange chocolatey confections, how about some Tomato Ketchup Truffles? Mmm. [Metro]
