Earlier this month, we were exposed to the monstrosity/ inexplicable genius of Papa John's All Day Breakfast pizza that made its debut for the May Bank Holiday weekend before disappearing forever. Well it's back again this weekend, so if you missed out a few weeks ago, you're in luck.
This time around, the pizza will also be available as a vegan option. To refresh your memory, the All Day Breakfast pizza comes loaded with "Heinz Beanz in tomato sauce topped with mozzarella, potato tots, smoky bacon, pork sausage and baby portobello mushrooms." I love an all-day breakfast, but I'm still not convinced that this sounds like something I want to put in my mouth.
The vegan version, which didn't exist just a few weeks ago, comes with "Heinz Beanz in tomato sauce topped with, vegan sausage, potato tots and baby portobello mushrooms," so there's no sub for the bacon, but what are you going to do? You're vegan. You could cook yourself some delicious facon and stick that on top, but that defeats the object of takeaway. You'll figure something out.
Papa John's also debuted a new ad thanking essential workers - after all, if it weren't for them, you wouldn't be able to get your groceries, order things you don't need online, or have a weird breakfast-on-a-pizza delivered to your door.
The Papa John's All Day Breakfast pizza is available to order now up until Monday 25, with a caveat of "while stocks last" so I guess it's pretty popular. If you give it a whirl, let us know how you get on.
