We love Lego, we love Ikea, and we're pretty bloomin' excited for the collaboration between the two.
Now, some of the first fruit of the Lego-Ikea collab have appeared on shop shelves in Mannheim, Germany, giving us a glimpse of what's to come.
So far, only four products have been spotted, all part of a new range called BYGGLEK.
According to Promobricks (in German), they are:
- A small storage box measuring 26 x 18 x 12cm and costing €12.99 (about £11.68)
- A medium storage box measuring 35 x 26 x 12cm) and costing €14.99 (about £13.48)
- A three-part combination storage box costing €9.99 (about £8.98)
- A furniture-building Lego set with minifigure, including 201 bricks, for €14.99 (about £13.48)
So far, the products have yet to appear in the UK or on the Ikea website.
We'd be surprised if that was the entire range, so we're interested to see what else the big brains at Lego and Ikea have come up with. Ikea furniture already has the Lego ethos of coming in a box of a billion pieces and depending entirely on talent as to whether what you come up with is a work of art or a shonky embarrassment, so the main thing we wanted to see from the collab was Lego products at Ikea prices.
