A group of 850 mattress-equipped people have set a new world record for the human-attached mattress domino effect. The New Orleans-based stunt took a full nine minutes for all the dominos to topple, but beat out the previous record holders in Spain with just 526 bedders.
The old saying goes you can’t fold paper in half more than eight times, but that myth was dispelled in 2002 with a 12-fold world record. Now some kids from a school in Massachusetts have managed to fold a piece of bog roll 10 miles long (!), in half 13 times.
And they say electric cars don't go fast. A group of BYU engineering students have built an electric streamliner that peaked at speeds of 175 mph. With that quiet electric motor I'll bet the "whoosh" it makes is gorgeous.
